Estuary Tours

Eagle Viewing

The peak periods for eagles is between mid-December and mid-January, however, there are still a significant number of eagles in November and February. Salmon Spawning Tours

Witness one of the miracles of nature, every year salmon return from the Pacific Ocean to reproduce in local rivers. Salmon live most of their life in the ocean, but when they are mature they return to the fresh water rivers that they were born in to lay their eggs. Black bears can be seen feeding on the spawning salmon but we try and keep our distance or avoid them altogether, and at certain times of the year you can see thousands of salmon migrating up river. So if you’re looking to learn more about salmon this is the perfect tour for you!

Bear Viewing

Whistler and Blackcomb are home to hundreds of resident black bears. They can be found deep in the forests or on the grassy ski hills during the summer months. During the early spring (mid-May to mid-June) when the grass is lush and green you will be able to observe resident black bears along the side of the highway and on the ski trails. You may even be lucky enough to see residents mothers with cubs and/or yearlings. The bears continue to graze on the different grasses during the later part of spring (mid-June to mid-July), Become more active during summer and go into hibernation late fall.
